  I purchased a symbol comfort series mattress and box spring on February 9th. I tried this mattress out in the store and thought it would be the best fit for me. Last night was the first full night's sleep on it for me and I am very disappointed. It feels like a brick and my back is in pain. I work strenuously at a hospital and needed a mattress that was a combination of firm and soft that would support my back and allow me to get a good night's sleep. I spent $426 and so regret ever making this purchase. I would like a refund but am not sure that would be possible now. My only option now is to purchase a pillow top cover for mattress or purchase another one all together. I gave a rating of 2 because they were very friendly...but the quality of this mattress is poor. Unforunately, I will be sleeping on sofa or recliner till I can get another mattress or come up with another solution. I have to work this morning and am in pain due to sleeping on this mattress. My advice....purchase a better well known brand.

  This place was amazing! I got pulled up, walked in, the guy within 10 seconds took me straight for what I was looking for, rang me up, and loaded the mattress right in my van. I was in and out in about 8 mins!! Very convenient and great prices!

  I am extremely dissatisfied with the customer service and overall experience at mattress man. I purchased a symbol mattress and boxspring on February 9th. Slept on it one time on the 16th. I woke up in extreme pain...mattress felt like a brick. Made owner and store personnel aware of issue on the February 16th. Gave me excuses as to why they could not refund my $426. They only offered me an even exchange for a symbol plush mattress. I am still unhappy and dissatisfied. I deserve my money back. This is a sub-par mattress as well and is causing me back pain...it is very uncomfortable to sleep on. Most stores give you a 30 day trial period to see how a mattress works out for the customer....not this place! There is no signage in the store stating that there are no refunds given and this is not noted on the receipt. Sometimes people wonder why people don't frequent small businesses on the south side of ft wayne...well here's your answer...unscrupulous business practices. Of courses this doesn't apply to all south side business owners...but it makes you think twice about patronizing such stores. There is no reason at all that my money should not be refunded. I will not recommend this place to anyone. Do yourself a favor and get a Serta from a reputable retailer, which is what I should have done.
